Terms of Service¶

By using Jade GT ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service¶

Jade GT is a web-based photo metadata hub that allows users to geocode, rename, and edit IPTC/EXIF data for photographic images. All processing is conducted locally within the user's web browser.

2. Pro Subscriptions & Payments¶

A. Tiers¶

Jade GT offers a "Free" tier with usage limits and a "Pro" tier with enhanced features (e.g., unlimited batching, Direct Save mode).

B. Payments¶

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe’s terms and authorize us to charge the specified subscription fee to your chosen payment method.

C. Cancellations & Refunds¶

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

3. User Responsibilities & Content¶

A. Ownership¶

You retain 100% ownership of any photos you load into Jade GT. We do not claim any rights to your content.

B. Accuracy¶

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the metadata (location, tags, descriptions) you apply to your images.

C. Intellectual Property Compliance¶

You agree not to use the Service to infringe upon the copyrights or trademarks of others (e.g., applying fraudulent copyright tags).

4. Professional "Direct Save" Usage¶

The "Direct Save" (Native Workspace) feature allows the Service to modify original files on your device. * Permission: You must explicitly grant the browser permission to access specific folders. * Risk: While we strive for maximum stability, writing to files carries inherent risks. You are strongly encouraged to maintain backups of your original images.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties¶

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT DATA MODIFICATIONS WILL ALWAYS BE REVERSIBLE.

6. Limitation of Liability¶

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JADE GT AND ITS CREATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS.

7. Intellectual Property of the Service¶

The design, code, logos, and documentation of Jade GT are the exclusive property of Jade's GeoTagger and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

8. Termination¶

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Pro features if you violate these terms or if payment is not successfully processed.

9. Governing Law¶

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
